Apart from his teaching load, Dr. Gillis is the advisor for the Dairy Products Students and the coordinator for the Dairy Science Minor. Dr. Gillis has coached Collegiate Dairy Product Judging Teams since 1979, and the teams have won several national championships. He is also one of the Los Lecheros Dairy Club advisors.
