North American Intercollegiate Dairy Challenge

The Sixth Annual Intercollegiate Dairy Challenge (NAIDC) held March 30-31, 2007 in the Siox Falls, S.D. area. The team consists of Diane Coderniz, Dr. Leslie Ferreira, Danny Sousa, Adrian Depiersloot and Steven Mast.

About the Program

The goal is to participate in an intercollegiate dairy management competition based on the examination of all aspects of a dairy business. This competition will challenge students in recall of basic dairy management principles and their practical application, while testing organizational, time management, data analysis, public speaking, leadership and teamwork skills.

Latest Competition Results

Cal Poly earned a Second Place Platinum award. This event attracted 29 teams from the United States and Canada, challenging them to put their textbook and practical knowledge to the ultimate test - analyzing dairies. The winning team - First Place Platinum - was composed of students from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Iowa State University, Virginia Tech and Penn State University.
